Very charming and personal, the owner was very friendly. Food was fresh and good, nice portion sizes. You will definitely have leftovers!

Classic "good times" feel and esthetic food has its up and downs especially during the morning and lunch rush overall for the price and quality it is well worth the time. Disregard the low reviews if you're sensitive and are used to being spoon fed.

The food was great in my opinion and I really like their soup, so much that I bought a large to take home. The cream and potato soup is one of my favorites. All the food came out fast as well. The owner is really nice and the waitress I had was very outgoing and made the place feel even more comfortable. Tammy was her name and she’s awesome! It’s a family oriented restaurant that I recommend.

This past March was the very 1st time dining here and was a pleasant experience. I do enjoy an old fashioned home cooked breakfast and the Springwood does it right.Food was hot & fresh at still reasonable prices, service was great and the dining room was very clean.Got to speak with Nafi at checkout who's a down-to-earth friendly individual and he mentioned he's owned the restaurant for over 40 years, amazing.The moment my family & I sat down, got that homey feeling right away even though we're 1st timers from a few miles across the Lake Co border.Always look forward to a home cooked breakfast and this place was automatically put on my go-to list of breakfast restaurants.Not sure when we'll be back since I'm a foodie and I'm always trying to explore but we'll definitely come back.

Nice local restaurant has been here for years. Wife and I started to come here a few times the past few weeks and have enjoyed their breakfast. We recommend you give it a try.

Update: went again with the kids super busy!!! It was still great for my picky daughter's, they loved it and the service was still fantastic!! Nafi himself was apologizing he thought it wasn't up to par, but it was!! We'll be back!!...... Wow what a great place, not fancy But you can't beat the food service or price. My daughter loved her banana pancakes and I did try them and they were magical I don't know how they do it . My omelette was so good, but I could only eat half which was great I could have the other half tomorrow! Service is great !!everybody's friendly, the big guy is walking around talking to people and filling coffee cups, nothing fancy just good food ,good people and a great price !and kind of a Kenosha icon.

We go there every Sunday. The food is so delicious and worth the money. But the best part is our waitress Debi. She is a trip. She makes it fun and she right to the point. Debi makes u feel welcome and makes sure your experience is good.

This is a great little underrated spot for great food at an affordable price. Maybe in the shadows of the Gateway, just down the street, this is a spot you should make a destination when you want a solid breakfast, swerved fast and friendly knowing the portions are going to be fair and plentiful. The restaurant is clean, local history on the wall and the menu has plenty of meal choices.The staff was kind and attentive and you could tell the family was on hand to ensure the guests were satisfied. Don’t sleep on Springwood. This should definitely be in your breakfast and lunch rotation.
